Steve - what I've been doing recently is creating the form as a .pdf, doing a copyfile to the remote machine and then launching it on the remote screen and printing from adobe reader. I've done single invoices and recently a whole run of 50 to 75 invoices. The other thing that I've been doing for years (many, many) is on the host machine create a text file containing all the records for my invoice, and copyfile-ing it to the remote machine. On the remote machine, I have a full comet session running (*) which looks in a folder waiting for a .txt file to appear. Once found, the remote machine does the printing substantially faster than when I tried to print thru comet anywhere. All the logos, signatures, fonts etc. are resident on the remote machine. Once printed, the .txt file is deleted and the program returns to 'waiting'. It sounds complicated, but has worked well over the years. (*) JIM G - close your eyes - the full comet session on the remote machine is running minimized in demo mode.
