I did, years ago.

Been using a VB program since 2006. We are in the process of completing integration with the new DocMgr. However it is design specifically to handle XML-to-Print using PlanetPress from ObjectifLune.

A simple 'right-click | send-to' would have solved my problem long time ago. I use LPR to send all print jobs straight to printers, it does not mess with formatting or Escape sequences.
