The VPN for printing performance comes into play because you can then install the printer on the C/A HOST and configure it to print to a standard TCP/IP port with the internal IP address of the remote printer. I have used this for Windows printing for a warehouse in NC and server in Vancouver. Windows form was unusable with direct setup C/A printing. With printer installed on the HOST and output to the IP address of the printer in NC it runs at nearly local comet speed. It is the best way to go.
