Wow! My older network configuration has 2003/2008/XP/Vista/7 32/64 mix. All hard wired and it's working great with Comet via a 1000/100 switch. During the past 2 years I've added Apple stuff and HP Envy Windows 8 wifi. iPhone 4s, iPad ios 6 and osx iMac. I'm wanting to know how these new devices interact with each other. Being mobile is TCP/IP 3G/4G/WIFI! I'm discovering that mobile devices are all about being discovered. Good idea or not? A Comet discovered network? I have a possible current concept Comet/Apple/MS mobile environment. Each mobile device has to manually login and not automatic? Windows 8 Envy currently does not auto log to my 2008 server nor does my iPad. More work is involved!!
