XAPLOG - ERR Winsock(10038) on send ?

In my XAPLOG file I notice that I'm getting "ERR Winsock(10038) on send" on a regular basis. What is this indicative of? (I am sending email in several of my XAP apps and only have one type 3 Gateway confiured).
