Comet 32 on a 64 bit PC with 472/1301. I attached 2 versions of the same report. EMPTRAIN.IBR works and EXITs back to my menu on both Comet 16 & 32 when ENTERED from my menu. EMPTRNX.IBR works on both but does not EXIT properly in Comet 32 only but instead returns the the READY prompt. Running and exiting DBX returns to my menu.
The only difference is the placement of the select and sort statements. EMPTRNX does create a temporary "sort" program.
