Almost all the PDF to Excel utilities SUCK. If they run at all, they butcher the data or shove everything to the left squeezing out the extra spaces. Trying to paste your selection into Excel using the Text-to-column wizard is a big pain.

A customer suggested COGNIVIEW. It lets you highlight a portion of the page (like Column mode in UE) and draws column lines (like the Import mode in Excel). You can move, delete, and add these column lines.

There's a trial mode.
