I am working on a vb program that reads a comet file, prints a report and
then is supposed to update one field in the comet file I have open with a P,
to let me know that the record was printed and should not show up as new. I
am reading the file and printing the report without a problem, but when I go
to write back to the file nothing happens. I am using putrecfile and I have
error trapping in the program, but it does not seem to be getting an error.
I have checked to make sure my key is correct by stepping through the VB
program, and that I am passing the correct information. I was hoping perhaps
I could get some information on how putrecfile works, since other then a
line in the documentation explaining the syntax there is no other
information I can find. Thank you in advance for any help.
