When a partition is running the program you can tell by using PSTAT on that partition. Look at position 219 in the result string. If you just want to know about an object that's not running you can use FSTAT. If the "File length of I00 file" (position 135 for 4 bytes) is NE "@00000000@" then it's a Comet32 object.
