You can see the code in EXTPTR.ibs in the XTL folder. It's in the PostClose routine at the bottom. The copy before launch is only required for CA clients. That's why it works on full Comet clients. In Comet16 you couldn't do the copy in background because it only works on LUN 0. Other programs you run that print to that printer will work because they are running in foreground.
