When I use border characters in my formats, I use the compose Alt-016 Alt-017 method.... So in CED I actually see the border characters. It does not fair so well in Ultra-Edit. I usually switch 'em back to the @10@ @11@ codes.
What I found is, in this CED source is the presence of many special graphical characters (more complex form). I had the whole array from @10@ to @1F@ on a comment line to "remember" which is which. I had to use QMAINT hex mode to get them in there.
I suspect the @1A@ would confuse the IB compiler.
When I took out the line, it worked properly. By the way the @1A@ is the big + connector.
Many-many years ago, I mention to Bryan that in @12@ and @13@ (the top and bottom connectors), the vertical bar was skinny and should had been wide like @14@ and @15@.. Skinny is found as @1E@ and @1F@. Back then he blamed in on Windows95 method to render characters. Maybe now we could get this fixed ? (after his vacation)
