Thanx for the reassurance
what I tried was to
1) take off the "Optional Link URL"
2) stop trying to override the Subject and leave it as is
neither of these fixed the problem
I kept "second guessing" myself since I figured that the WIKI software is running as is on thousands of sites and I couldn't believe that it was happening.... guessed that all the bugs for something simple like this should have been knocked off long ago
