SON is the sales rep ID, probably Southern ONtario. They didn't have a box for it on the original form and decided they wanted it to show somewhere, that's where it went. The date format was the only thing I could come up with back in 1996 to eliminate date confusion ( 06/08/2013 is it June 8th or August 6th??? ). Wasn't too bad of a mod once it went into a subroutine. This end-user has put up a fabulous website with an extensive library of XAP/Ajax/XML programming to grab data from Comet including a full-blown Order Entry program to let their accounts place sales orders and memo sample orders. Additionally we are providing them with iPods in barcode-scanning cases that are doing lots of field/warehouse work to XAP. Let us know if you head down that road.
