XAP - file copy

I need to copy a .pdf file from one folder to another in an XAP program. Since "Copyfile" doesn't run in a background partition is DOSMS the way to go? Is there a simpler method?

Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
