I'm afraid I can't tell why the error occurred. When you do a run, Comet first does an FSTAT so it can check the file type to make sure it's an object file. The call is sent to the file server. Apparently the call was made successfully but the return info was bad. This is a fatal error. Could be a network error. I would watch to see if it persists.
