Verify File verifies the integrity of the key tree. It checks to make sure keys are in the proper order, that there are no duplicate keys, and for extended keyed files, that the key tree key matches the key field in the record it points to.
Delete Chain is different. Each keyed file may have 2 delete chains, one for keys and one for records. Deleted entries are reused as new records are added. This utility verifies that the chain pointers are valid and that deleted records and key sectors are properly marked.
So in your Key Build test did the progress bar seem to "progress" properly?
