Any Progress Bar you could build would already be many-many times more accurate than any Progress Bar Windows gave us.

Go for it!

When I use progress bar, I do a FSTAT of the file and if there are deleted records, it just gives the impression the program finished faster than supposed (as opposed to Windows where the last 5 seconds turns to be 2 minutes).
