Robert:

as to the 100+ compiles... I'll probably be doing 200+ compiles in "one shot"

the question that arose is... with a control file that looks like this:

S PGM1.IBS,NXT
O PGM1,NXT
L B,S,L
*
S PGM2.IBS,NXT
O PGM2,NXT
L B,S,L
*
S PGM3.IBS,NXT
O PGM3,NXT
L B,S,L
R z

do I have to worry about the beginning of the individual source modules?

some have the usual CED beginning with Source, Object, Listing...
some (very, very few) have the !//IB// prefix

since I'm compiling for the first time under Comet/32... all I want to be sure of is that I'll get a listing in (for example) PGM3.lst

seems to always do that when I compile under UE, but want this to be done under MTB

Thanx

Bob "A"
