I was reading this from the minutes of the 2013 meeting:

Greg reported they have a lot of complaints about AVG generating false positive reports against the Comet executables. Brian suggested that we might be able to solve this by digitally signing our products. Jim had looked in to this in the past and was deterred by the cost involved. We will revisit this issue. Another possibility is to submit our executables for whitelisting by AVG.

when I looked up... AVG was complaining about something COMET... an appropriate and spooky message for the day after Halloween :)
