I've already written VB applications that talk to Comet.
One of them is a new VB front end that interfaces with the Spool/DocMgr to allow reprint full/partial of XML based documents. It's pretty specialized.
Another is a "general purpose" interface to talk between VB and Comet - used in Credit Card processing where the VB talks to a second VB SDK which encrypts, batches and transmit the data.
I've also used the mySql (available in Comet 32) to talk to a mySQL server on Linux.
I've also used the IP gateway to pull data from a web server.
It is also possible to script an update of data to a web site using FTP (also done that years ago)

Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
