UE can not start Comet

I have to assume that everyone knows that UE no longer starts Comet.
If I neglect to start Comet before compiling. UE starts Comet and I see the splash screen, but then UE tells me:

Comet Utility Console - Version 1.05
Comet startup error: 1 - Comet is not currently running on this system

It's surely not a "show stopper" but I thought I should report it.
