I am trying to migrate an XAP app from Comet 2008 on a Base Windows 2003 Server to
a Virtual 64 bit Windows 2012 Server running Comet 32 (latest version). The base OS is KVM.
The Virtual Server has faster processors and has 4 instead of 2.
Running a single query against very large tables is slower on the Virtual server by a factor of 3 - 4.
Comet 2008 on the Windows 2003 server takes around 7 seconds, Comet 32 on the Windows 2012 Virtual Server takes around 25 seconds.
When 3 browsers are searching, results are 11 seconds vs 54 seconds.
XAP programs are compiled under Comet 16, not sure if that makes a difference.
Should XAP2 be used instead of XAP when running Comet 32?
Last thing,
TEST4 for 1000,20 on Windows Server 2003 & Comet 16 is 2.98 seconds, on Windows Server 2012 & Comet 32 is 10.94 seconds.
Any help would be appreciated.
