the COMET-PDF was installed on the Server.... only when I again installed it (not RE-INSTALLED it) on my workstation did the PDF files become readable! On my TEST system, I go by LogMeIn over to the TEST system, but everything is installed on the server...my workstation is only a LogMeIn Client.... on the PROD system, I'm configured as a remote COMET workstation, so there was a little more to do
