Comet install problem...>

I have two fresh Win2008R2 vms available at an end-user. I installed Comet ( .471 ) on the first one, no problems. Second one it starts up, Task Manager shows Trusted installer taking up most of the cpu time, it sits there for 20 seconds or so and then brings up a dialog box stating that Redistributable installation could not be completed. Any ideas as to why that would be happening? Can I alternatively install the package from MS? Which package is it?
