Comet16 gave you a warning message at startup because you have an ODBC gateway configured. In Comet32 the only optional gateway to configure is XAP. If you replace ODBC with mySQL, Comet doesn't even know you'll be using it until you OPEN "SQL", rather than at startup. I think if we popped up a warning message for every non-subscriber logon, we'd get complaints.
If you want to implement your own warning message at startup, you can test for the subscription by doing a DSTAT on "X00".
