Yves - my experience is that the default setting is usually done in the printer settings itself. If you want to print 132 columns on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, it is usually 16 or 17 cpi and a lines per inch of 6. There should be a way of doing this in the printer setup. If not, and the printer understands pcl, then a small program that sends the default cpi and lpi to the printer one time worked for me also. I can send you one of mine if you need. Marc
