The errors are interesting. The only one I can give you a quick answer on is the third one. SRW0100 is one of the overlays to the old Reporter front-end. Perhaps they were trying to create a new report with the name of just "$/". Comet16 used to translate invalid characters in a filename. Comet32 doesn't do that. "$/" would not be a valid name.
