actually, however, the 08:45 was this morning when I answered the Message Box with OK (my guess is this was waiting since Friday Night)
would it be possible to change the order of execution to:
1) retrieve the ending time
2) add the date to the ending time
3) display the message box
4) write the audit trail with start/end dates and times
to get:
