Moving between Comet Windows programs

Whats the best way to maneuver between 2 Comet programs that are using a Windows dialog box? I'd like to be able to ENTER and Exit back to the calling program, but it seems that some events are getting passed between the programs, and I'm not sure how to 'clear' them. For example, if I invoke IDC.EXIT on the 2nd program, when I exit that program, the calling program processes that ID as an event. Any help is appreciated.
