Maybe the way you're killing off the processes is messing you up. The best way is to use the Windows Services utility and "stop" the Comet Services. Now that I know you're "messing around" ;-) I'd really like you to try rebooting the server so the Comet Services start, verify by looking at their consoles that they are running, and then attempt to start Comet.
When the services are running correctly, you should see CSecSrv.exe, CFileSrv.exe, and CFAMNetServe.exe running in the task manager. If not, it won't work. The UI programs are SecSrvUI.exe and FileSrvUI.exe.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
