Yawn, stretch,... CometWoman is just back from vacation :-) ... It sounds like something happened to the TMP folder on the host. CAUPDVSN.TXT is just a tiny file that contains the CosW version number. CMON32/CMONITOR uses it to see if the host has a newer version than the client. If so it'll do the auto update if you have that feature turned on.
The file server probably got a Windows error on the OPEN attempt. If you really want to check, you could look at the CometSrv.log file for that day. If you have logging turned on you may get some additional info on the type of error. But that file is recreated each time Comet starts so unless this keeps happening I'd let it go.
As far as those "other images" are concerned, you think we had something to do with that??
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
