I've had this issue at least since my client went from Novell
to a Windows 2012 server. Occasionally I'll need to copy all of
their Comet data files to my remote computer. I do this usually by using DOS commands to move the files from the file Server to a local computer. Then I'll zip the files and use PCAnywhere to transfer them to my computer. It's inevitable that during the transfer from the Server to the local computer it will shut down some of the Comet workstations. I'm assuming that this is because the file copy is grabbing nearly all of the resources of the file server which forces a time out on the Comet workstations. Are their any suggestions around this issue. I usually try to do the copy after business hours but sometimes it's imperative that I'm able to test with current files during the day.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
