I noticed in recent weeks that my client's Win2003 Server running Comet XAP & Anywhere often freezes. I also witnessed network wide temporary freeze that would kick-out some of the stations but not all.
This server is using Comet 2008.398 ( No time to upgrade my XAPs to go Comet32 ). Most (95%) of other stations are running Win 7 Pro with Comet32 2014.487.
This server is also the Security server. Running version 14.0. There are 2 Comet File Server (Win 2003).
I got this error when I tried to stop the service CometAsService:
The instruction at "0x003f20b4" referenced memory at "0x00af0000". The memory could not be "read".
I am including the StartupLog that includes all the errors when the system stopped responding at 00:10. We've seen this Anywhere/XAP server freeze at any time during the day about twice a week.
Please note that XAP is firewalled and can be accessed by only 1 external IP address (web server that hosts the rest of this site).
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
