Signature's programmer (and comment writers) are much more polite than those of the old wild days of Burroughs/Unisys

there was a comment in the MCP (Master Control Program) for the Large Systems:

"I'll be f**cked if I know how we got here, but let's make the best of it"

and the software module that spawns/forks processes was, of course, the MotherForker
