So you gave up on page count because PDF wouldn't tell ? How about all the other programs that print "normally" ?

QSPOOL did a good job with line/page count, it is still coming from COSP isn't it ? Line/page count helps operators determine how big is the job. Some old & clunky sites have programs that generate multiple reports but they print only some of them.

If DES could know where the job is, it has the capacity of knowing line/page count from the original program...
