Using pfontc for Comet PDF output

The DES program pfontc doesn't seem to work with Comet PDF. It works with Adobe writer. The only way I can compress output is to create another Comet PDF printer and setting the output from letter to ledger. Anyone successful using DES programs with Comet PDF?
