How about dumping Comet PDF, with the externally controlled core, in favor of a totally Comet controlled PDF driver? Do the PDF's created from Comet need anything other than the most basic features?
Comet PDF has some annoying limitations and problems.
1) a bit slow and the PDF's are a bit bigger than other PDF drivers.
2) you can't generate two reports from the program consistently. Once it stops it then takes a PC reboot to fix whatever the problem is. pdfFactory never failed.
3) with Comet PDF, I've had corruption and destruction of the DocMgr control file.
4) occasionally the PDF goes to bit dump in the sky and never gets to DocMgr or the work directory. I've had to recreate journals and registers at my office and add them to the customer's DocMgr.
On one occasion the missing PDF appeared out of nowhere on the user's screen about an hour later.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
