I fixed all issues with QMONITOR by simply replacing the odd-sized wallpaper with Comet Graphics and resizable icons.

I can now Maximize/Restore the QMONITOR. It is a manageable 80x25 regular screen.

I retained all the original QMONITOR source code, just replaced a little section and Added a couple of images (sorry didn't have access to the originals).
