Thanx for spending time on this..... I think that until it fixes, I'll use the artifice of:

putting the SELECT CASE inside a SUB and replacing the BREAK with RETURN

then I can continue testing until there's some resolution

Obviously, I'm a (self described) prig about not using GOTOs..... but I'm sure I'm way out in the minority on this...

Thanx again for "going to bat" for this minority feature
