Notepad and Comet

Does anyone have a similar program to notepad that works within Comet? As an example in Customer Maintenance (CM) the program creates a text file specific to the customer and launches notepad. The users can modify and save it. Problem is if they save it somewhere the program is not expecting or if they are using CA they just can't save it back to the server. The program has no control over what is happening in notepad. Any suggestions?
