If you look at the source to ViewDoc (XTL) you'll see how it works. If it's a full Comet client it does a ShellExecute() of the file. If it's a CometAnywhere client it copies the file to $(CATEMP), then launches that file. It should just open up in whatever the default pdf reader is.

So, have you written your own DES programs also? We honestly didn't think anyone had so we added the REL restriction. We can undo that change if that's the consensus.
