Why not just create a Window? If I remember well, (draw box) just puts the border characters on the screen.
(draw Text) uses the Windoze fonts, not Comet's.
You can draw your own box (with centered lines) using characters 16..31 ($10..$1F) or the border characters used by draw box using characters 208..218 ($D0..$DA). Remember that the drawn borders use characters spaces, so printing on same line as box border will erase the border.
