Hey Bob,
Reading this thread I get a little confused.
CometAnywhere does not require any other folders not even REL.
You need to use REL and not REL-15.03 ONLY when you do not have your nodes configured yet - full Comet nodes. It allows you to run SYSGEN with a minimal configuration.
Once your dot-ini and your NODExx.CFG are generated you can use any Comet folder from any server\drive. Normally one would expect all of Comet to be on the server. When you stations (full Comet) execute COMET.EXE /PN=NODExx, the required Comet Executables are copied to the Windoze's %TEMP% directory. The NODExx.CFG file has to be in the same folder as COMET.EXE. This method allows the Comet executables on the server to be upgradable at any time (no file open).
You do not really need to install anything on the workstations except a shortcut.
The very first time you run Comet it is going to install the 'Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables' (vcredist_x86.exe). If I remember well, it does this and then closes Comet. Second try will work fine.
Hope I got all this right and it makes it clearer.
Carp Diem !
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
