I want to expand a few files by adding about 100 bytes at the end

I'm not sure how that will be defined later (string and/or numeric)

if I define as a string of 100 bytes and then later sub-divide into both strings and numerics.... will this raise the E46 the first time I open it, or are all blanks equal to a valid zero upon open... I realise that the sign is only required when it's negative... but what about the (lack of) a decimal point?

I've always waited until I know exactly what the layout is, and then write a "one time" program to populate the numerics in the expansion area with zero.

this time is a little different

Thanx

Bob "A"
