Carl:

We used to have a CometAnywhere installation program that installed the required Comet programs under the "Program Files" folder. Beginning with Windows 7, this folder protected and requires the user have full admin privileges. Now we recommend that you unzip the latest full Comet release on each CA client into a folder such as "c:\Comet". Yes, you'll get a few programs that aren't essential for a CA client, but this is a more reliable way to get the client updated. Make sure their Comet shortcut points to this new folder. From then on, the automatic update should keep the client up to date.
