I'd say non-issue. The CAW clients (regardless of OS) don't need to have any printers for Comet purposes. The CAW host controls the printers. They'd still need one or more printers for Windows apps.

In a WAN you have lots of flexibility. Example, Joe has The departmental HP2100 just outside his office and it's known to Comet as L15. Jane, down the hall, has a HP4 which is not known to Comet. When any Comet user prints to L15 the print job goes to Joe's printer. Jane would like to be able to print Comet jobs to her printer. If you set up a new printer, say L22, and make it a # printer. Then Jane can print to L22 and, via CAW, the print job will print on her LP4. If Joe prints to L22 the job will print on his HP2100. Two paths to the same printer. Now any CAW client (Jim, June, Jervis, etc) can print to L22 and have the print job directed to their printer.

I think this is true. If the CAW host prints to L22 then the print job will go to the Windows Default printer.

A caveat, users often find ways to inadvertently change their Windows Default printer. I think some software packages do it when you select a different printer. Not nice. So, use the File/PrintSetup/Comet Indirect Printer Selection option to lockdown the printer for the CAW client.
