I'm running out of suggestions. Your .ini looks ok to me. Are you getting an error trying to open the gateway? If so it's acting like it can't find the drivers, but you said they did get copied to your Windows temp folder. One last test I can think of (something I wouldn't normally recommend) - change the target on your Comet shortcut to CosW.exe instead of Comet.exe. If it still doesn't work, please change it back.
