Workstation Install

We finnaly upgraded to Novell 6.5 and had to upgrade out Comet to version 2004.

Unfortunately we found that we have to run the Workstation setup on each and every stations just to be able to fire-up our machines to work.

The Workstation program asks lots of questions and is very slow. Even by selecting, I'm using Comet already installed on another computer (server) it still insist in copying all those files over.

I'm using Comet 2004 build 331, the Workstation setup is build 337 (has a Windows printing bug - see other post). So everytime I set-up a station I need to re-install build 331.

My understanding is that what I really need is a couple of Windows DLL and 2 Comet DLLs copied to the station and entered in the registry.

Can we get a "slim" version of Workstation Setup that would do just that, no questions asked? I have 100+ stations to do. At 5 minutes a machine I'm in for a lot of overtime !!! Obviously we cannot upgrade the station in the daytime.

So until that Workstation Setup is completed I am still running on my old Novell 4.11 server and my new Novell 6.5 will have to wait...

Any suggestion to speed-up this process? I tried putting Workstation Setup in the Novell Login script, but it is still very loooonnnnng...

A little .REG file might do the trick !

We use a mix of Win98se and WinXP. Next week we are seting up CometServe32 on our second server (Windows 2003).
