That's a lot of configured directories. Is $(CATEMP) in your Comet.ini? If not Comet will add it for you if there's room in the DAB table.

If you are using a security QMONITOR with a password, is that password used by UltraEdit for starting a Comet session? If so, is TMP in the directories accessed?

Another test you can try is running CAPI in a Comet session then attempt the compile. It will use whatever DABs you had when you started CAPI.
