That error indicates that the Comet client lost connection with their server where the Security Server is running. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a virtual dongle. Check CSecSrv.log and the Comet.log to see if there's any more info. If you didn't have to restart the Comet Services then it was likely a local TCP issue.
